Essays by Alex:

Warehouse was published in the Globe and Mail in 1999 and describes a difficult job experience.

Paper Problems concentrates on what it's like to work in a bookstore. The essay also makes note of some comments by George Orwell (one of my favourite authors) on working in a bookstore. It was published in WORD, the literary calender, in 2001.

Comfort and Canadian Poetry, an opinion piece on modern Canadian poetry, was published on the site danforthreview.com

Words on Writing was published at poetryx.com in 2004.

In Defence Of Graffiti was published on Bookninja, but also as part of a textbook in 2006 (Reader's Choice, fifth edition).

On ABC of Reading, an essay on the book by Ezra Pound.
